The product shows pores and surface scratches due to the nature of the material and use/storage, but has the excellent luster and beautiful gloss characteristic of premium pearls. The silver clasp may have minor scratches or tarnish, but functions smoothly and can be used with confidence.

Cultured pearls. These are Akoya cultured pearls, grown by a pearl oyster with human assistance (not natural pearls).
Treatment. Akoya cultured pearls are routinely bleached and color-toned ("pinked") as standard industry practice.
Natural variation. Minor differences in shape, luster, and surface are natural, not defects.
Care. Keep away from perfume, cosmetics, and chemicals. Wipe gently with a soft cloth after wear and store separately from harder jewelry.
