There are no scratches or dirt affecting wear. Natural scratches and dimples are proof of genuine pearls. Effort is made to photograph scratches, but since the pearls are used, some may be missed. Please understand the item is second-hand and not perfect. Condition is subjective and some flaws may be overlooked.

Cultured pearls. These are Akoya cultured pearls, grown by a pearl oyster with human assistance (not natural pearls).
Treatment. Akoya cultured pearls are routinely bleached and color-toned ("pinked") as standard industry practice.
Natural variation. Minor differences in shape, luster, and surface are natural, not defects.
Care. Keep away from perfume, cosmetics, and chemicals. Wipe gently with a soft cloth after wear and store separately from harder jewelry.
